Warm-up

Please watch the following video through before trying to practice the exercises. Choose exercises which you feel confident to attempt. When you are confident that you can complete these exercises safely, you can try to exercises along to the class at the bottom of this page.

High Intensity Exercises

Once you know the exercises from the video above, you can try a full class session by following this video.  You should apply the same safety considerations as advised in the introduction video and work at a pace that is suitable for you. Your heart rate should rise a little so you feel warm and a little sweaty but you should not be out of breath or in any pain. Don’t be discouraged if you experience a little muscle stiffness in the following couple of days. This is a sign your body is making the necessary changes to make your muscles stronger.

All you will need is a drink of water, 2 scarfs or tea towels, a ball or cushion, a resistance band or something stretchy like a pair of tights, a steady surface to hold nearby and a chair to rest in if you need.

Exercising to music can help. If your musical taste is not in keeping with ours, why not mute and exercise along to your own choice of motivating music.
